Recognition

In this section, information on the international recognition of studies and qualifications in music can be found.
Students interested in a shorter study period (e.g. on year) or in continuing their studies in another institution may be interested in the tools that exist for the recognition of studies, such as credit points and the Diploma Supplement.
Students may also be interested to know in which countries their qualifications will be recognised and where they can find more information about recognition procedures in the various countries.
The ‘Mundus Musicalis’ project has collected information on these issues in relation to higher music education and published this information in the publication “Handbook for the International Recognition of Studies and Qualifications in the Higher Music Education”. In this publication, detailed explanations about the international recognition of studies and qualifications, the relevant procedures and national contact persons can be found in this document for countries in Europe, Latin America, North America, Asia, and in Australia and New Zealand. Information on regulated professions in the field of music, as well as contact details of the national regulating bodies for the recognition of qualifications are also provided.
